"My own journey began back in 2007 as a new resident of Sussex County NJ and as the parent of three children who have struggled with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. I am a graduated kinship caregiver having raised my granddaughter from birth until she was successfully reunified with her mother in 2018, and co parent to two stepchildren with complex trauma related mental health challenges. My professional career with New Jerseys Children's System of Care began in 2010. I have seen the positive progression of service options and availability of programming for families including the integration of services for ID/DD youth and youth with substance use challenges. I personally experienced being served as a family and am now honored to serve families on a professional level ensuring they are provided with proper resources for a successful family journey."

Diane’s introduction to the Children’s System of Care began in 2012. She remembers an interaction she had with two FSO representatives. Not only was she grateful for their guidance and help during a very trying time, but she also felt like she had discovered a job she would like to pursue once she was able to go back to work.
Diane is married and the proud parent of four adopted children. Three of her children had IEPs. Diane was very involved with special education and with special education parents’ advisory groups in each school.
Diane’s hope is that, through Family Partners, she will have a chance to give back, and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the families she works with.

She lives in Sussex county with her family and loves reading and the outdoors. When she isn’t working you can find her with the kids hiking and kayaking. Her husband is a lifelong Sussex County resident and has served the community through Fire and EMS for over 20 years. In her own words; Having a child with challenging behaviors has not always been easy. But the work I am afforded to do with families is for me a full circle moment. I understand what it is like for the caregiver and this position offers a unique perspective to offer support, connect families to resources and make sure they never feel alone throughout this process.
